Do you all wear bras with underwire or avoid them? I know they say not to but I miss my regular bras. The nursing ones don't fit me very well. They're really too small but the next size up was too big. The band part also like folds over and they're just not very comfortable.

I'm not prone to clogged ducts. Ive only had one in 3 months and it was in the beginning when I was engorged. When I'm home with DS I almost always wear the sports bra type so I'm not so worried about the inconvenience if a regular bra.

What do you do?

I do the same thing when I'm home!

I do not fit into the nursing bras that I bought from the maternity store while I was pregnant. I practically fall out of them. I did find one at Target though that I absolutely love and has great support!

i always wear my bravado nursing bras...not super flattering, but they're really comfortable and i'm a sahm with a frequent nurser.
i know what you mean about missing your regular bras tho! i dont think wearing some underwire a few hours a day will be an issue for you.

I never got nursing bras. I just wore regular bras with underwire, I have only ever gotten plugged ducts when my daughter nurses less. At home, I am braless..

I didn't wear my underwire bras for a long time more because I didn't want to stretch them out since Kate was nursing all of the time. It was super exciting when I started going out evenings and putting on a nice-looking bra. LOL I would say it's totally up to you. It's not a rule that you can't ever wear underwire, just be aware of the possible duct issue and if you have a problem then stop using them. So I say try it and see if it works. Wearing a good-fitting bra can do wonders for the self-esteem, hehe.

(Oh and I have a horrible time with getting bras to fit too... it seems like I own way too many ill-fitting bras.)

I have a nursing bra with underwire that I got at Walmart, it's my fave! The wires JUST fell out the other day and it is much less comfy now. I;m definitely going to get a second one.

Both of my nursing bras have underwire and haven't caused me any issues.

I only wear underwire nursing bras, these babies need a little extra lift With my first, I waited a few months to start wearing them because I was engorged a lot and it was uncomfortable, but after that, it's all I would wear.

I tend to just wear sports type bras these days because anything underwire is uncomfortable, and every the nursing ones are hard to nurse with. So, when she needs to nurse I just pull my bra up. It's working for now because I am a SAHM.
