So if u read my last post u see dd is 3 weeks and just latched on to bf.
She's been bottle fed breast milk since birth.

Now she wants to nurse constantly.
I feel like she's gotten SO heavy since nursing.
She nursed about an hour last night and then had the heaviest pee diaper I've ever seen.
Is this normal? Should I limit her on nursing every 2 hours?
Also whsts the easiest way to nurse at night?
She has to be elevated some due to reflux but she now likes to nurse herself to sleep.

I wouldn't limit her too much. Babies want to nurse a lot at first and for comfort/ growth spurts/ and much more. It felt like the first 5-6 weeks all we did all day long was sit around and nurse.

As far as nursing at night we side nurse a lot. We do a lot of co-sleeping so we both just usually end up falling asleep while she is nursing.

I semi lay down at night and she is sort of propped on a body pillow. She definitely likes to co sleep and likes the body warmth next to her.
I just can't believe she can nurse for so long at a time.

You should let her nurse as long as she wants. I would most definitely not limit nursing. You never know if shes hungry/thirsty or just wants to comfort nurse. She might be going through a growth spurt, which pretty much happens every few months, so they need to nurse more.

My DD would easily nurse for hours on end. It is the best thing to do to feed on demand, so if she wants to nurse that long, then i would let her nurse that long.

She's nursed for long periods of time today and while I was doing a teacher conference at the school I had to give her a bottle.
She's quickly gotten used to flow of breastfeeding bc she was so frustrated today with eating from a bottle. She kept sucking hard on the bottle nipple which kept causing an overflow of milk to come out. It's amazing how quick they get used to one or the other.

I just let my LO nurse whenever she wants. if she is hungry I feed her. even if that means that is all I am doing all day lol. at night I have a million pillows stacked up and a boppy pillow, so I sit up in bed and use the boppy to prop her, and then the last night feeding, after dh leaves for work, we side feed, so i can get some extra sleep in

I remember nursing almost constantly around the clock sometimes with Allison. When they are little it's all about nursing sometimes!

Dh says he thinks I just like popping my boobs out. Lol.

I think I'll try doing my first nursing in public next week.
Ill go alone to eat somewhere or to the mall.
I'm waiting on my sling and cover to come in.
Kinda excited I ordered them and paid only shipping using a coupon code.

That's normal. Newborns use nursing for a lot of different reasons... food, thirst, comfort, and even to help organize their thoughts and the world around them. It's like the one "known" factor in the world to them. Newborns can certainly nurse for long periods at a time - it doesn't mean they're over-eating, sometimes they get very little but they just want the comfort of sucking.

As for sleep, do whatever feels most comfortable for you and her. There's no right or wrong ways. I always nursed Kate laying down at night so I could doze off... but then she would never let me put her in her own bed either, lol.

Good luck on nursing in public! It can seem like quite a production when you have a tiny one but it gets a lot easier as they get older and you both get quicker and getting it all set up.

Agree with everyone. Also, breastfed babies gain more in the first 3 months compared with formula fed babies, so don't be alarmed if she gains weight fast. DS grew out of his entire wardrobe every 2-3 weeks in the beginning.
