So I was talking to my mom last night, discussing my peanuts refusal of the bottle. My mom said I did the same thing as a baby, with two exceptions. I would take juice and formula out of a bottle, but not breastmilk. So I thought what the heck, I'll give it a go.. I mean we have two sets of those formula samples.... Well she took the bottle with the formula... What the heck?? I don't understand... anyone else heard of this? Do you think I could do half and half and slowly just put breastmilk into the bottle?? I really don't want her on formula even when I'm at work... ugh!
Yea.. we've tried just about everything, including the breastflow one. Only my SO gives her the bottle.. and it's when I'm not around. She took the formula bottle today while I was sitting in the room.. total BS.. Its super frustrating
Babies can be fickle for sure when it comes to bottles. I wouldn't put formula in the bottle anymore, primarily because your baby is so young and it could hurt your nursing relationship/supply.
I used the playtex nurser/drop ins with the standard nipple for my son. They do have other nipple choices if your baby doesn't like the standard one. It's supposed to mimic the breastfeeding "rhythm" that your baby makes. My son sucked from the bottle the same way a baby would nurse.
