Zoe thinks it fun to try and rip my nipples off. She'll be eating and tug her head back and rip my nipple out of her mouth...ouch!!

And a question. Her Dr told me she needs cereal for iron. But she wants nothing to do with anything but the boob. How necessary is tge cereal?

Niplash!

JR does that all the time! It hurts like crazy! As for the cereal, my daughter wouldn't take it. She couldn't figure out why we weren't letting her have her BM from mommy. After a week of her refusing it, we just stopped. Her iron is fine. Sometimes doctors' forget that one size doesn't fit all and babies like to do things their way!

Maddie went through a stage of doing this (still does occasionally). If she did it more than once I would stop a nursing session. If she got upset I would wait a few minutes then let her finish and she would usually go right back to eating with no problems. Most of the time when she does this it is because she isn't really hungry and just wants to play or is too distracted to eat at the moment so we just wait and try again later.

As for the cereal, if she isn't into it I wouldn't push it. You might also want to try a different kind. Maddie wasn't big on the rice, but she likes the oatmeal ok.
