I plan to breastfeed & baby wear as I've done in the past, however I am curious if anyone has any good recommendations for a sling or other baby wearing gear that is breastfeeding friendly. All the slings I've seen that say they are good for breastfeeding require the baby to be sitting up for it, and I like the more traditional cradle hold when breastfeeding.

So.... any recommendations? I've read about various products online but I know you guys are the gurus and would have some real-life experience to share! (If you want to include links that would be AWESOME!)

Thanks in advance!

A wrap would probably work well for you...as well as a ring sling. You can rent and try some out on Paxbaby.com to see if you like them. I have a girasol wrap that I love. You can do all kinds of wraps and holds in them...a little something for everyone.

I have a ring-sling, a wrap, and a soft shell carrier. The ring sling is the only one I can see being able to breastfeed on the go with ease in. I haven't tried yet but I'm going to soon.

It was really a lightbulb moment for me when I figured to pull the breast through the neckline of my shirt. Previously I had nursed uncomfortably by trying to adjust the carrer to lower the baby towards the breast. With it yanked out through the neckline it is also held in place better. I have managed to do some hands free nursing that way. Nowadays the only problem is that my nurseling thinks that refreshments are supposed to be served every time I wear her. I find it a bit of a pain to nurse her that way.

I will ditto everything Kimi said. I own a wrap, a sling and an Ergo and the only thing I've been able to nurse in is the sling.
