I've been breastfeeding a while (2 years yesterday!) and within the last couple of weeks have started getting some white kind of filmy stuff on one nipple and it hurts a little. I don't think it's thrush because thrush would hurt a lot, and thrush probably would have either gotten better or gone away by now. My DD is still nursing 10+ times per day even though she's 2, and it can be a little bit painful when she nurses on that side, especially when she does it constantly. Any thoughts on what this could be?
Hmmm, I suppose it could be, but then I wonder why I only have it on the left (and have had it for several weeks) but never on the right. And it seems like a coincidence that the side that hurts has the white stuff.
I wonder if you can get a really mild case of thrush that doesn't get better or worse for weeks?
