Hi, a have a couple bf-ing q's I could really use help with!!

1. My son is almost 6 months and ebf, but my right side seems to be giving out. I try to nurse on one side per feeding, but that just doesn't work anymore. He does not latch when it's getting low so I don't know how to get my supply higher. I always eat oatmeal, take fenugreek, nothing is helping. I don't have time to pump after any feeding so that's out. What can I do??

2. He is horrible at nursing in public. He always breaks his latch. I can't even nurse him discreetly when I wear him. He doesn't do well with covers either. I will never be comfortable showing my boobs in public while nursing him, so I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on what I can do to help with this.

Thanks in advance!

well, pumping would be the way to do that. my right side was far inferior than my left and i pumped it a lot more and it evened out by the time DD was about a year old. Just keep feeding on that side as well.

when i would go out with DD at that age, i would nurse her in the car before we got out once we arrived at our destination and then again in the car before we left. We were rarely out long. Also, many places have nursing areas that are more discreet, i have even gone to a dept store and sat in a recliner and nursed when no one was around. Motherhood Maternity will let you use their dressing rooms and most places have dressing rooms for handicap people with larger rooms and somewhere to sit. Also, you can also bring a bottle of pumped milk.

I agree with MGM
..pumping after he empties that breast is the best way to tell your body it needs to produce more.
I also used to feed in the car before going in to a place I knew didn't have anywhere inside for me to comfortably feed.
