Hi Ladies!

I could really use some ideas...

I have one side that's inverted. DS and DD couldn't nurse on it. Tried nipple shields, tried pumping first, very little success. Had a miserable time with DD because I was a new Mom and was getting conflicting advice from the LCs coming into my hospital room. I ended up exclusively pumping with her and DS for a few months, then giving up and switching to formula. This is not what I want to do.

I hated it. I want to feed my babies. Not pump, then turn around and put it in a bottle, and feed them. I have GREAT supply.. even on the side I can't nurse effectively with.

Anybody dealth with this? My OB wants me to use the breast shells, but I've done that X2 pregnancies and not had much luck. This is the earliest I've ever used them, so I'm hoping it will help.. but if I have other options, that would be awesome.

The earlier I can fix this, the better off I'll be. Thanks in advance!

have you been to a La Leche meeting or met with an LC about this? You could always just nurse off of one side, many women do that for many reasons.

I tried nursing off one side with Brianna, and it worked.. ok. I wasn't a big fan though, because I ended up (even with pumping) with mastitis on the right side. I'll talk to an LC though.

the one sided women do not pump the other side, basically just let it dry up.

I'm almost one sided.
I force nursing at least 3 times a day on my right side but she hates it and will claw my shirt to get to her favorite milky on the left.

My left breast is a DD cup. And the right is barely a C now thanks to my Jadelet. Lol.
I am almost ready to let the right one dry up.
