I think I have this. Nearly all my milk went bad during the 12 months I pumped. First, I'm curious to know if my milk can be tested conveniently. Second, since I can't scald milk at work after pumping, and my milk nearly always went bad, what are my options? I am TTC #2 and won't be able to take as long off work as I did before. So I'd have to pump sooner this time. Ideas, suggestions? Experience?
Yup I had/have this. I scalded my milk for a while before realizing that DD actually didnt care. She happily drank milk that had sat in the fridge for 5 days (it started tasting off to me after a day). I'm pretty sure that scalding doesnt have to happen imediatly. The sooner you do it the less flavor you get of course.
Btw I only bothered pumping for baby #1 since #2 didnt care much for bottles. I found a 6ish month old milk in my freezer and decided to try baking with it. It didnt taste that strongly of lipase if at all so possibly the lipase issue got better.

As others said, some babies don't care. I had it with my twins, but don't this time around. You might not have to deal with it again.
