If I want to ween my almost 4 month old off of bm to formula what's the best way? Hey will take bottles but doesn't like formula. I've tried giving him enfamil newborn and enfamil gentlease. He's not a fan. Even when he was just born the nursery tried, as did I, and he refused. I'm torn between ebf and weening. Advice please.

What are your reasons for wanting to wean this young? Can you mix 1/2 breast milk and 1/2 formula?

I feel like I'm having a hard time keeping up with his demand. I know he's getting enough right now, but bf'n has become more of a chore than something I enjoy doing. I didn't even expect to be bf'n since I normally have supply issues. I guess I'm getting ready to face my usual low supply. I have no time or desire to truly pump the way I should and when I do pump I can manage 4 oz from both breast in about an hour of pumping.

Some babies just like ot nurse a lot. My DD was on the boob 24/7. Can you nurse in a carrier to make it easier for yourself?

I do nurse in the carrier but not at home cause he's really heavy and I have a bad back.

I have no advice except Brea was and is still a 24/7 nurser and Ive been trying to wean since shes been 10 months. It hasnt worked. She REFUSES to take a bottle from me and She refuses to take straight formula. Daddy can give her a bottle of all bm or 1/2 and 1/2 but she will scream and cry with me until I cave in and give her the boob. GL
