So ds is 20, almost 21 months and we're still nursing. The only pp af or even remotely close to a pp af was back in March/April 12'. Idk if I even consider it pp af as it was light and short (2 days...def not norm for me.

So....here comes January and some wacky stuff....

Is this totally normal??? I am still crampy like crazy...even though I am so many days into this

I understand there really is no normal when it comes to pp af :/

I'm not completely sure either, but I'm guessing it's just your body getting readjusted to changing hormone levels. I had my PPAF at around 4 months, but that was when I had to go back to work, and also around the time that my little girl started sleeping more during the night. It was a fairly normal AF for me, but I'm sure there is a wide range of "normal" for a while, when it first returns post partum.

I got my first pp af at 5 months(which sucked because I bled for 3). When it first started up it was almost a week of spotting and then a period. Id say with not having one for so long your body forgot its cycle. Id say give it some time and it shoukd get back on track

Are you on any type of birth control?

Have you taken a pregnancy test? Large clots along with heavy bleeding that has lasted this long, would make me suspect a miscarriage

I know periods can be a little crazy when you are breastfeeding. Mine came back regularly around 7-10 months with all of mine, but my cycles were a little strange. I still have short luteal phases, from 10-12 days most cycles (and I've had my period back for about a year now) and I've had random spotting during a few cycles while nursing. I've never had a cycle quite as crazy as yours though.
