So I have started to pump for my stash...the power pumping wasn't working for me. What I do now is if Trey only eats on one side (after many burp sessions), I lay him down (if asleep) or put him in his bouncer or give him to MIL or FIL while I pump for 10 min on the other side he didn't eat from. Also if he is napping for more than 30 minutes, I go ahead and pump for 10 min on each side. So far I have been able to get a combination of 3-4 oz (combined from each side) in those 10 min and have in the freezer 13oz in the freezer. Of course some of that will be used Tuesday when I have to run errands for a couple hours and cannot take baby with me. Also if I feel a let down coming on and he is not hungry or fussy, I go ahead and pump 5-10 min. It is a slow start but it is better than nothing, right?!?!?

yes! try pumping WHILE he is eating on the other side. Takes some coordination, but always yielded more let downs and more milk for me.

Good start! I pump the side he nursed on after he is done to get any leftovers out as well.

will def try to do that. it will be difficult for me unless I have DH help with the pump (knobs, etc) or if I sit on the floor and pump next to it so i can have control over the pump.

Do you have a hands free pumping bra? That can help hold the flange and bottle in place so you can have two hands to hold and feed the baby.
