With Daniel (nursed for 8 months), I had no issues except he wouldn't latch at first. I pumped and supplemented the first six weeks and then he finally, after much much work, latched.
With Keelan, I had mastitis twice, thrush once and his lazy latch at about 6 months ended up giving me sores on my nipples where his top teeth would rub. Took till almost 15 months to get them healed then he was fine for a while and he did it again. 6 months since and we've been OK. I used lots of coconut oil and lanolin (and crying while he nursed for 6 months!).
I had an infected blocked duct in my nipple that was horrifically painful and i had to see a breast surgeon. DD was 3 weeks old. Otherwise, just your run of the mill stuff, blocked ducts mostly, but that is because i pumped at work.
Everything! !! Low supply, cracked and bleeding nipples, bad latch, uncoordinated suck\swallow, literally a ton!! She's 10 weeks and we are still working soooooo hard but I do not intend on giving up! Still having some slow weight gain. She was born 9 lb 12 oz. At 10 weeks she's at 11 lb 7 oz. Is that awful? We are working super hard. I'm so jealous of mamas with generous milk supplies!
