Zoe has to be sedated for an MRI on Weds. She can't have ANYTHING after midnight, not even water. We have to be at the hospital at 9am, for a procedure that may not happen till noon. She is going to be so mad, as I would be. No food for 12+ hours?! Any experience with this???

Nothing? My older son was sedated for dental work not too long ago and he was allowed clear fluids up till an hour before surgery. Poor thing!

When I talked to the lady that sets up the pediatric appointments she no water. They are extra precautious with children. This seems ridiculous to me, but at the same time I don't want to risk anything.

Okay, I guess. She was up at 3am the day of. I had to block off the kitchen cause she kept going in there for food. I felt soo bad telling her no.

She was fine when we got to the hospital. Running around & playing. Then...they did the IV. Poked her 3 times before they got it in. She was screaming. I felt so bad :-(

Then they took her down and had to hook her up to EVERYTHING. They put the wrong sticky thing on her chest, so they had to take it off & put a new one on.

Her oxygen level dropped when they gave her the medicine so she needed oxygen right away.

She slept that whole day. And was back to herself the day after.
