In the past day or so, my baby has been spitting up more. I thought it might be due to not burping him enough, but I've been trying to burp him every 10 minutes or so while feeding.

Does this mean anything? Or is spitting up just a normal thing?

as long as he isnt overly fussy when spitting up i say its just from an overabundant supply (your milk just came in no?)

I agree with MSHANE13. Probably your little baby is eating more than his stomach can handle. Since he is so young and your milk probably came in only a few days ago, he is probably getting used to drinking still and he's got to learn how much he can take before some of it comes back up. I wouldn't be concerned as long as he is still having BM and seems content.

He really goes to town when he eats. I actually take him off my breast when it seems like he is gulping down milk. I assume he just needs to get used to the volume of milk that he is sucking now.

He never spits up very much, but I just wanted to check and see.

Breastfeeding is going great!

My ped said in the early months as long as they appear to be "happy spitters" meaning it doesnt seem to bother them much, its just more of a laundry problem than anything to worry about. I hope things continue smoothly for you two!
