ok, so i dont know if anyone remembers this, but after my mat leave, i was planing on finding work close to home, cause currently i have about 3 hrs of comute to do everyday, so i had figured that i could find something in a bank (i work at the treasury) but i figured that i could find something at a branch with the bank councelors or something.

well nada, it would be a grade less than i have, and the minimum less pay i would get is about 15,000 less
that dosent pay the morgage,
and i have to stay at the bank cause of the loans and morgage we have.

so now im freaking out cause ill never get to see the kids, and to leave Liam, is going to break my heart,
and im planing on bf for a while, but now that will be even more chalenging,
anyone comute that much? how do you do it?
im thinking ill have to bring my pump and do it a work, but where????

i think im the one going to be living with seperation anxiety

I have a pretty hefty commute -granted not 3 hours, but an hour with smooth traffic.

My first suggestion would be to try to get your little one into a daycare near you. This way - if there is a milk shortage or hes sick - you can get to him quickly & breastfeed, pick him up, drop off milk, etc.

I work in a very non bfing friendly environment, had to go back to work earlier than Id hoped. I pump in the car a lot of times (thank you for battery packs & car plugs for the pump! lol), and yes WHILE driving lol. And - i have to pump in the bathroom, but its better than me having to give her formula. Ive had friends who have pumped in the car on their break, keeping an iced cooler for the milk. I dont have a place to store milk so I pump from one day to the next & either bring ice packs for hte milk to keep in the pump bag or if i forget, then the milk is good freshly pumped out of the bag for 7 hours and I just ice it asap. I make it work, though its not easy. I used to pump 3 x a day, now I pump 2x a day. And it has gotten me in a jam so Ive been known to run milk ot the daycare on my lunhc break when Im running low (since I dont keep a stash).

(((hugs))) It may not be easy, but I'm confident youll find a way to make it work. And just curious - I'm sure youve considered this - but are you sure the decrease in pay would be that bad considering the cost of gas & wear & tear ont he car (future repairs, etc)?
