I've been blessed and have felt great since DD was born, but last week I was sick for the first time since last February. I felt awful and had a nasty sinus congestion, a very sore throat, headache, and a fever for a few days. While I felt horrible, I was more concerned with DD getting it and was religious about washing my hands and making sure to keep things clean whenever I touched them. I continued to nurse on demand and took her to bed with me for afternoon naps and managed to get 2-3hr naps in! Well, DD never got sick. She didn't even have a fever and or a stuffy nose, and she still shows no signs of illness!!!

I'm just in amazement at how my body can not only provide the best possible nutrition, but I can also help her fight off sickness and ailments. Wow!!! Our bodies are awesome and I can literally provide her with everything she needs right now!!! I may not have been BF'ing for very long (almost 3 months) but I'm sooooooooooooo glad that I stuck it out and have continued to do so, despite the comments my family have made. Each day goes by and I love it more and more. Here's hoping I feel the same way once I get through her 3 month growth spurt we're in the middle of right now!

That's so awesome! My son is 8 1/2 months old and he has yet to have gotten sick at all! I hope your little girl continues to be healthy and strong and that you continue to enjoy this experience!
