I just lost my baby on Monday and had a D&C on Tuesday. I am an emotional wreck. I do have a question. I work for a company where I have to lift a max. of 70lbs a day. How long should i be off from work. The OB told me a week but my family Dr. told me two. Not wanting me to lift too much too soon. Any help would be wonderful

Oh honey, I am so sorry for your loss It takes time to recover after a miscarriage, not just physically but emotionally too. How long you need to take off depends on how strong you are feeling. Some people find they want to go back to work sooner, to keep their mind busy, while others need longer away to come to terms with what they have been through. In terms of the lifting, is there any way you can be put on light duties for a short while, just a week or so to make sure you are not putting too much strain on yourself?

You will be in my thoughts and prayers x x
