Hi all,

I experienced a miscarriage last month 6 weeks into a confirmed pregnancy. We had not tried to get pregnant, but after the excitement of having a baby, we were rather upset about the miscarriage, and decided to try again.

To my surprise, we were immediately successful. I was extremely nauseated the evening of Thursday 9/16 and we thought, 'could we be?'....other than that, I didn't have any other symptoms, and honestly didn't think I was pregnant this soon after a pregnancy. But we picked up a hpt anyway, and that night got a glaring blue line within 5 seconds. The next morning, I took another test, just to reconfirm, and got another positive.

Last night, I started bleeding with barely noticeable cramping.....very light pink, and I assumed it was implantation. Another hpt confirmed pregnancy, but it was so light I could barely see it. This morning, the bleeding was heavier, but still much lighter than a normal period, another hpt and the line was even lighter still.....and this evening, the bleeding has gotten a little worse along with the cramping. It still seems to be too light for a miscarriage, as light time I bled profusely and was in severe pain.....but too heavy for implantation.

But I still fear the worst, and am devastated. I am not established with an OB/GYN, and the few listed with my provider can't see a new patient today....so it's wait and see.

I've read all day internet stories of women who have had heavy implantation bleeding for several days and went on to carry to full term with healthy babies. But I'm scared and feel like I'm losing my baby.

Has anyone had any similar experiences?

Sabrina

Hi, welcome! I have had the bleeding after a positive test and then the tests go on to be lighter and eventually negative. It was a chemical pregnancy for me. Your local ER will see you, do bloodwork and most likely give you a followup bloodwork order and help you get into see an OB since you do not have one by referal... speeds up the process. There are several women who have experienced chemicals on the Am I Pregnant board of this site. You might go there for some oinions about IB, I have not had that issue, best of luck

I am so sorry for your losses. I hope that you did not have a second m/c.

The ladies on the pregnancy loss board are always there if you ever need to talk.
