Still waiting on news from Dan. Biopsy is scheduled for 3 mins from now(930a) and I tried calling an hour ago but noone answered.

He was supposed to have called me earlier this morning but didnt. So I dont know whats up there and will have to wait til he calls me.

His count was sucky last night so I really hope something changes for him and they can do the biopsy.

After 4 bags of platelets(100,000 platelets in each bag) he only went up 2000 platelets.
So they are giving him 4 more bags and will hope they hit their goal of 60,000 platelets to proceed with the biopsy.

So Ill have full answers in a few hours.

It's been a long day and my tooth is bothering me. May have to go to the hospital for some dental work within the next week if I can't take care of it myself... ugh... I haven't taken care of it yet because I HATE NEEDLES... omg... ugh ugh ugh, anxiety just thinking about it.

Ahhh hun I totally get it...dentists suck as do the needles used but if you are in pain...just do it! You shouldnt have to feel that way.


As for Dan...no biopsy.

After the second round of 4 bags his platelet numbers went DOWN to 30,000(his starting number). The doctors havent a clue whats up so they are holding him over tonight and coming up with some ideas on where to go from here.

So he should be home tomorrow sometime and hopefully by Monday we'll have an idea whats next.

A bit chilly today. Storm has gotten out and come in 3 times, can't track her. Busy cleaning today, doing dishes, and laundry, grocery and bills. Busy fighting with the girls because they keep sneaking candy, going to throw it away!

I'm so sick right now It was a cold my ex caught, who then gave it to DD and now I have it My ears are plugged so bad and I hate that feeling. I ignored it yesterday and got a lot of dishes and laundry done but I'm paying for it today Might just try and take it easy as best I can with DD. She's not really a fan of staying still

Ugh, Natasha, I got that cold too... It sucks! Mine really felt like a sinus infection yesterday. Today it's better a bit.

Gotta do laundry and get the house cleaned up today. We have a doctor's appointment for Robbie this afternoon for his meds for his ADHD, he has to go in every 3 months to have a recheck done to be sure that he's gaining weight and growing. Then we have 4-H tonight too.

Tomorrow Bryce has school in the morning for his speech therapy so Mer and I will get some grocery shopping done hopefully while Bryce is at school.

Hillarie, I hope they can figure something out for Dan.

Jackie - Woman, get that tooth taken care of! And I full heartedly agree, THROW THE CANDY AWAY! I keep telling the granparents, aunts, uncles and everyone else that my kids don't need the candy and not to go there with Easter, Valentines Day, Halloween but no one ever listens... We just end up throwing away the candy or DH takes it to work to pawn off on the health care workers LOL.

Last night I read 4 chapters of a book on how to build and eco-home. Pretty cool! Then I switched to an energy/spiritual healing book and read a couple chapters of that! Got some good info/exercises from it that I want to try out on here!

On the homefront... woke up and EVERYTHING was going wrong, but I'm determined to not let it bother me and just let it roll off my back...

i hope things turn around for you today. is it storming there still? i know it rained last night but i dont think it stormed until just now. its a nice day for it though. its turning everything green and the birds are still singing through the thunder bad thing about it is we are shopping later and will be in and out of the rain, blah.

It was supposed to storm horribly, instead we just got a lot of wind and a little bit of rain. Kansas can never make up it's mind with weather! The saying goes here, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes"

The siggie is AWESOME!! It's been passed over on the siggie board so I exchanged a reading for a siggie with Niamh, I love her style it's amazing!!

Ive got a sinus cold, it went from the 80's to the 50's and sounds like Av has a cold starting...oh joy. Dan gets paranoid if they get sick especially Av.

Av had his Kindergarten Round-up night on Thursday which was cool. He does his "testing" on the 15th of May. Testing for Kindergarten just seems so wrong.

Dan has yet to hear from those lousy, no good drs who said they'd have that tumor board meeting about his case and get back to him. That meeting was Monday and not a peep from anyone. Im so angry for him. He's getting weaker and more tired every day as well as low appetite. I hate this.

Thats all thats going on around here. Right now boys are watching Tom and Jerry cartoons while I type behind them on this laptop. Dan and his mooch of a bro are still sleeping(per usual) and Ive been up since 330a.

yeah, testing seems just wrong for K - but its actually a good thing. that way the teachers the child is placed with has an idea of learning style and can help the child learn better. or so ots supposed to be? still seems wrong though.

Jackie, indy's weather is like that too. still waiting for the nice constant 70 degree weather, but i sont think its gonna happen. probably will go from 50's to 80's in the same week. BAM! hi summer.


been looking at the earthship link again. the problem is, i cant get new mexico out of mind, and i know its because of the site. sigh. im thinking that we just stay in indy just move to brown county. i LOVE it down there

Dans so tired anymore. Sleeps a ton! I think he's resolved himself to not getting anymore help from the drs and just to let things be cuz he has no other option at this point.
His loss of appetite and this tiredness scares me cuz I know what it means in the long run. *sigh*

The school said, basically, that they will place them in either half or full day Kindergarten and it isnt up to the parents. Made it sound like its based on test results. Like kids who need extra will get full day. If thats the case Av will probably get 1/2 day since he's so smart and has a lot down. His main issue will be potty cuz he has a slight fear of the big toilet that comes and goes.
