What made you look into paganism as a spiritual form?


What made you decide it was "right" for you?

Had a friend who was Wiccan/Pagan. She never pressed it on me or anything but when my spiritual world collapsed around me and I had to pick up the pieces and start over I decided to ask her about her beliefs.

After study and thoughts and listening to my heart and soul I knew it was right. When I felt a complete peace and joy within my being...I knew it was right.

From the first time I heard of witch craft it interested me and I felt the tugging. Now im older and am really open it to and I am more eclectic Pagan. It just feels right and makes sence. It gives me a sense of peace.

I have always been into witchcraft. Even as a child. Of course, I didn't know that's what it was until I met DH (who was Wiccan at the time). I started reading his books, and online stuff and then forums and came to my own path!

I was raised Christian and it never really felt right. My own personal beliefs never lines up with theirs and it was all just upside down.
Then I remember one day I came onto JM and discovered the Spiritual Living board (different name at the time) and I put what I believed. They told me it sounded like I had more Pagan beliefs and to check out this board. Ever since then, between reading stuff online and listening to all you ladies it all seems to fit together and it just feels right. I'm still discovering my path, but I'm enjoying every step!!

I was an Agnostic/Atheist for a long time, but it never really felt right to me. I always kind of felt like that title was a replacement for not really exploring my spirituality because of how much I hated organized religion.

However, when I started to look into, Paganism really rang well with me; especially Pantheism. Nature has always been a very important part of my life. I tried out witchcraft, but it didn't really work out well. However, I found that energy work fits me well (when I'm in the mood). But, for the most part Paganism is mostly about the nature aspect for me.

I follow a bunch of different paths aside from the above mentioned. But, Paganism is the biggest part, I think.

I walked my own spiritual path for a long time. Still do to some extent. But somebody here (it may have been Jackie) asked me one time why I wasn't Pagan, and I looked into it, and sure enough many of the beliefs associated with Paganism fit with my beliefs. I have my own eclectic path still though, still work with angels and use prayers and fiats from a plethora of religions.
