Ive been fascinated with them since I was a child.
Lately they are really in my head and I feel a need to make them a part of myself somehow(sounds odd probably). So I found a beautiful pic of one and made it my avatar and another one that I loved is my FB avatar.
Why do you suppose you have creatures(mythological or otherwise) that become a part of you even tho you may never have one or see one(except in pictures)? Do you suppose there are lessons to be learned from them and things about them that can inspire us and keep us spiritually minded to a degree?

My eldest son is a Phoenix. I had a miscarriage in 1997 and 10 years later a beautiful boy was conceived. In my eyes, he rose from the ashes of my burnt dreams of motherhood and granted me a heart wish.
I don't know if it's different with other creatures. "Working" with unicorns is much like "working" with angels (indeed in Diana Cooper's book The Wonder of Unicorns she refers to them as ascended horses of the angelic realms) - simply calling on their energies and asking for their help. What instigated it for me was a dream where I saw a unicorn by my side and a smaller unicorn by Daniel's side, back at the time when he was first being diagnosed with developmental delays and I was obviously really concerned for him. Then I read something in a book or magazine that said if you dreamed of unicorns it was a sign one was working with you. That led me to get The Wonder of Unicorns and the Magical Unicorns cards by Doreen Virtue.
