*Known by 3 meanings...day of Woden(anglo saxon/Teutonic God and leader of the wild hunt), day of Mercury(Roman God of travel, commerce, science), and day of Hermes(Greek god of commerce, travel, cunning, patron of travelers).
*Known as HUMP DAY cuz its midway through the traditional work week.
*Ayurveda recommends wearing green on this day(for the planet Mercury which is primarily green in color) and planting trees on this day!
*Wednesdays child, according to Mother Goose' rhyme, is "full of woe".
*"Wednesdays Child" is a weekly tv program(not sure if still going or not but I remember it) that deals with helping older children get adopted.
