My dh gave me $40 and an afternoon all to myself (no kids) to spend on retail therapy, and I came home with:
To Ride a Silver Broomstick book
A Wood burning tool
A bag of small wood plaques (about 25 of them), and
A pad of color coordinated papers that most people use for scrapbooking.
Can I just say that I am LOVING my wood burning tool....I made a sign that says "Faerie Crossing" that I put in my little Faerie garden, A sign that says "Namaste", one that says "Sit a Spell" and I drew a pretty shi**y witch hat on it too, and a sign that says "I know how to drive a stick" and I drew a pretty decent broomstick on it, and I did one that says "Follow your Path" and drew a triple moon, pentacle, goddess, spiral, and Triskele on it...that one is pretty disorganized and not very aesthetic, but I am having a ball with this little crafting treasure! I plan on doing wooden spoon wands, decorating wands from tree limb offerings, other scrap wood signs...I would love to be able to draw some animals on some for totems/guides, but my drawing skills are very rudimentary...I might see if my cousin will sketch a few for me...
The scrapbooking paper I want to use to enhance the pages in my BoS...Haven't figured out exactly how yet, but when I do...Lookout!!!
This is all pretty amusing to me because I bought all this stuff before New Year's Eve, and as a tradition, my family gets a butload of Chinese food on NYE night for dinner...and after we toast in the new year, we all open our fortune cookies and read the fortune for the year....This year, mine said: Work on ideas that are creative and can bring fine results bwahahahahaha....don't know how long this will last, because usually my attention span for crafts is quite small, though I wish it were otherwise...
