"O, happy the soul that saw its own faults." Rumi said this.

Do you think seeing our faults helps us connect with the Divine? Do you think seeing our faults is a must in order to move forward in life happily?

Well, if we didn't see our own faults, we would perceive our own perfection...and would we seek out Divine if we thought we were perfect? I don't think so, at least not on a deep and meaningful level..maybe a superficial thank you for my perfectness. Narcissistic ego...

So yes, seeing or recognizing my faults helps me to connect with Divine...definitely.

I love that quote, btw...I think I will commit it to memory and use it daily...

Ive always found if I can look outside myself and see my faults I learn a lot more than if I just see what good I can do,etc.

Without faults we cant grow...imho. Gotta see them, learn from them, and move forward and connect with the Divine along the way.

I agree...if you dont see faults you cant truly connect.

Our faults remind us that we are human and not above others. If we are perfect and our lives are perfect, then there is no reason for Divine.
