When I was 15. Mom raised us all very open-minded but not necessarily Pagan. She's Pagan but we didn't know it. When I was 13, a friend loaned me The Modern Witch's Spellbook and that was my first introduction to magick. I started reading and buying more books and finally, when I was 15, I dedicated myself to Goddess using a self-initiation from Scott Cunningham's Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner.
I never really fit in with any religion but I went to Catholic schools all my life so I really was forced to "believe" Christianity or at least some semblance of it. But it really wasn't until 2002 that I started dabbling in some witchcraft and not until about two years ago that I really realized that Paganism was my path. I've really come out of the broom closet in the last year.
This is something I have always known. I would say the earliest that I can remember is the 6th grade. My child hood friend and I were talked about religion because her Mom was forcing her to attend church and that is pretty much when I opened up about myself.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my perfect siggy
