When do you do your grocery shopping? Do you just go whenever or do you set aside a certain day of the week or time of the month to do it?

It all depends on my husbands schedule. I have to go when he is home so I can take the car and he can stay with the kids. I like to go once a week, for at least a quick trip, since we go through milk so fast.

I usually go on the Fridays that DH gets paid and I buy what we need for the next week or two just because he gets paid bi-weekly.

We get paid on the 3rd of every month so I do a big shop usually on the 4th. Then I go every Wednesday because milk is on sale at 2 of our nearby stores($1.98 a gallon except whole milk).
So Ive made that my weekly shopping day...I have found I enjoy having a certain day to go...seems to make things go easier during the week.

I just went today! I usually do one big shopping trip per month and get most of what we'll use for the month. I get a bunch of extra milk and bread and put it in the freezer. We'll burn through up to 8 gallons of milk a month. Then I'll make little trips here and there through the month to pick up extra things for recipes that I might suddenly decide to make.

We normally go through 4 gallons a week in this home. The boys are milk fanatics. If we had our little freezer we could get and freeze extra stuff but its down at my grandmas house cuz we couldnt fit it on our truck when we moved this way LOL.

We are gonna try and get it this spring and just plug it in outside.

My dh does the shopping...he goes on wednesdays because he has them off...but, it's also the day after circulars are delivered, so he can check the sales, and shop accordingly too..cause that's how he rolls..HA HA`

We go on paydays, which are Thursdays. We all go together and I get enough for the entire week until next payday.

Wednesday or Thursday here, depening on pay day. Once a fortnight I go up to the largest shopping town near us (an hour away) and get most of the stuff for the fortnight, then the following week get what we need to get us through locally.
