Last night our cat got hit by a car & died... I was so sad, though I think most of my sadness was sadness for Gaby.. I loved Fluffy, obviously, but Gaby loved her 1,000,000 times more...

Luckily Gaby has taken it well, and keeps telling me how naughty Fluffy was, to cross the road without looking , she also told me "wow, Fluffy died well!".. and upon talking about Poppa digging a hole to put Fluffy in, in his garden, Gaby exclaimed "I want a hole too!!!"

She wanted to go out & see Fluffy this morning.. the neighbour who saw it happen, wrapped her in a sheet, and there didn't appear to be any obvious signs of trauma (ie all her injuries were internal), so I took Gaby out & she had a look & gave her a couple of goodbye pats, and a goodbye kiss.... Made me cry, because it was so sweet.... and sad of course...

This is the last photo I have of Gaby with Fluffy.. Gab was out of the bath & had wrapped Fluffy up in the towel

& this is the first photo of them - she's already terrorising her with a toothbrush, lol

And some more Fluffy cuddles

Couple of months ago

Looking back, I wonder if Fluffy walked in front of that car on purpose.... lol

Aww. I'm sorry Emma. I'm glad Gaby seems to be taking it well.

RIP Fluffy

Oh no! I am so so so, sorry Emma! Poor kitty, I'm a big cat-lover! I'm so glad that Gaby has taken it well though!

LOL yes, in the video she was most likely licking Fluffy

Gaby helped Poppa bury her last night, and threw in a flower (albeit a weed flower! lol)... She's been great about it

h Emma, I'm so sorry It's rerally hard when a pet dies, especially one your kids adore. Angelica's never forgotten Sam, even though she was only 9 months old when he died. I'm glad she's taken it so well so far and I think it's lovely she got to say goodbye.
