I've got a girlfriend!! I posted a couple months ago about my best friend that is going to be moving in with me soon and the fact that I've had a secret crush on her for a long time. Well we've been texting each other A LOT lately and a few weeks ago she asked if she could ask me a kind of off-the-wall question and I said sure. So she asked if I have feelings for her. I was shocked, but of course I said that I do and she said that she does too!

Anyway, we've been talking about it since then and we both really want to see where things go and want to give a relationship a try. We have been best friends for several years and I swear sometimes it's like we're the same person. So we already know that we get along and have so much in common. Plus everyone always says it's best to be friends first. So who knows?

I just know that I would love nothing more than spending the rest of my life with my best friend and she feels the same way. The only downside is that she is still stuck in her current situation with the girlfriend that treats her like crap. She needs to save up money and wait until the timing is right for her to leave there safely. Then when that happens we'll be free to pursue our relationship.

So I'm just happy as can be right now, knowing that we are going to be together soon. I hate what this other girl is doing and I seriously want to go punch her gf in the face at times, but for now I'm just being as supportive as I can.

Thats great ... apart from her crazy current girlfriend that she is trying to get away from. I hope she is able to get out of that situation soon and that you can start your lives together.

Thanks ladies. I've just been in such a good mood lately and I know this is why. I was talking to one of my exes last night, who I'm still good friends with, and he was telling me that he's known for a while that she and I were going to be more than just friends. He asked me if I'm happy and for the first time in a long time, I can say yes and mean it!
