I dunno. I spent 2 grand on our wedding. Which to me, was a butt load of money...but, I was 20, and naive!
And, we actually made all that money back with the dollar dance, and wedding money gift! Soooo...we broke even! LOL
We had a small wedding, tho! But to us, it was quite 'big'...because we're quite private people, with limited friends. Hugo's family alone took up most of the party! We had invited 100 peeps, and like 80 came! To us, that's big...haha!
And we cooked the food ourselves, plus, we had our uncle bbq some roasts! I mean, we made it a family ordeal...I swear, my wedding was freakin' amazing! Everyone had a fabulous time, and I was 26 weeks pregnant...but, had a blast! No alcohol for me, but, I don't drink anyway. I just had so much fun! And for our 'honeymoon' we took a day trip to Solvang...a town an hour north of us. That's just the type of people we are...We aren't big spenders, and since I was hugely prego, we didn't consider taking a trip further away...which was a sign, cuz Cali was born 12 weeks premature, just 11 days after our wedding day! She could of been born on the road, from Solvang! Crazy!!
So...to answer your question...er...um...neither! LOL Save! We save money.
But, to each their own! If they want a huge ordeal, over the top wedding and honeymoon...GOOD FOR THEM!!

As long as the marriage lasts! And everyone has a great time at the reception, the time is memorable, and the food must be DELICIOUS! <3
