My cousins wife had a baby girl mid January. She has been sick and turned purple 2 days ago. Today they were at the doctors doing a follow up and the babies hear rate was really low. They were going to take her by ambulance to the childrens hospital an hour a way, but was afraid she wouldn't make it so they are airlifting her.
Also, the mom had a dnc done Monday because there was a bit of tissue left, she is still bleeding very badly. She was suppose to go to the doctor today and possibly be hospitalized, but that is on the back burner.
To all - Wonderful news - Baby Brooklyn has improved so much they think she may be released tomorrow!!!!!! They have been suctioning out her lungs and have her on oxygen. Apparently they think it is viral and her little body was too tiny to fight the virus so her lungs filled up and then her oxygen could not keep up and her heart rate dropped necessitating the airlift to the hospital.
She was even able to drink a couple ounces. It is huge great news!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so relieved. It was almost a year ago that Phoenix had her heart surgery so I was reliving everything that could be wrong. I am so happy right now.
