Billings Method. No drugs, devices, no health risks, no side effects and it's 99.6% reliable.

I'm not currently on anything right now as we are TTC, but I was on the pill for 3 years before we began TTC. And, I plan on going back on the pill after we have a child.

How does that work? I take the holistic route as often as I can but when it comes to pregnancy prevention I just dont know what to do.

You learn to assess your fertility day by day, so that on any given day you can tell if you are potentially fertile or not. Doesn't matter if you're regular or breastfeeding with no cycles either, it still works the same. So you evaluate your fertility every day and follow 4 simple rules about when to have sex, using each day's observations.

The easiest and most effective way to learn is to work with a certified instructor. The personalized coaching is where you take the theory of it and learn to apply it in real life. The most confusing and least effective way to learn is to try to teach yourself (ask me how I know! LOL)

I currently have a non-hormonal IUD (nova-T). I LOVE it. It's been inserted about a year and a half.

Gosh I was on quite a few between my sons and daughter

Nuva ring for 3 months
4 different BC pills
after having break through bleeding with all 5 BC methods I decided to go back to NFP..well

I tried NFP, worked awesome on getting pregnant, not so great for me for the not getting pregnant part (some women have great success, and I know I misjudged my ovulation..oops) , but I have no regrets because I have one beautiful adorable girl.

Hubby then got the snip

Then I had the Mirena IUD for medical reasons (trying to stop my cycle) and wouldn't recommend that to anyone since I had to go in for surgery to have that removed..and had bleeding 2 weeks straight each month.

I guess me and hormones just don't get along...LOL.

Currently, Lactational Amenorrhea Method (LAM), Fertility Awareness Method (FAM), and pulling out.

Will be fitted for a diaphragm in about a month, to use when I'm fertile.

I was on NuvaRing for about a year before stopping March to TTC and got a BFP in June. After the baby is born, I am thinking of going back on NuvaRing as I had no side effects whatsoever and it was so easy to plan things when I know when my period is coming and can leave the ring in for an extra week if I needed a few extra "period-free" days.
