I havent had a period in 2 months. I had fairly regular, although usually really light periods for months before. I stopped nursing 2months ago as well, had one normal period right afterwards (within a few days, so not really related to loss of bfing hormones) and yet nothing since. I know it says that is normal for them to kind of die out and then you not have a period. but is it normal to just stop? I havent been able to feel my strings for months, many months. but I had a U/s earlier in the summer to check placement and it was fine, the strings had just wiggled up in my uterus and have never came back down lol. I tested about 2wks ago and i thought I saw a faint line, but I'm pretty sure it was just a freak out and my eyes playing tricks lol. I'm pretty sure thats not the problem. although I know that it is a possibility. Just wondering if anyone else had experienced this. I figure if no period by the middle of next month I will test again.

I have had my Mirena since February 2009 and I've had two very light periods since then and they were very irregular, months in between., but I am also still nursing my 25 month old son. I take a pregnancy test every couple of months or so just to be sure. I have never been able to feel my strings, but it's in right. I have however noticed increased bloating and period symptoms but without the mess. Another thing that may not be related is that I can't seem to lose weight no matter how much I diet or exercise and the Mirena is the only thing that has been changed in my life since having my last baby.
