I'm so excited! I'm finally going to get rid of my stupid birth control once and for all. I'm only so conflicted about what to go on next, I can't make up my mind. I refuse to put any foreign object in my body again. I don't want to do anything permanent right now. but, It's a toss up between the shot and a progesterone only pill. My bf is pretty insistent that if I go on the pill he will use a condom because he doesn't trust it, but my research shows that the pill is actually more reliable than the shot. And I know 2 people that got pregnant on the shot. So, I'm just not sure which way I showed go on the big day. What do you all think?

You could skip hormones altogether. Modern types of Natural Family Planning are as effective as the pill, but without the side effects or health risks.

i'm with you. i had my implanon taken out feb 7 and still no period in sight! i've always only been on yasmin since i was 15 and knew when i was having periods. i've taken the month off of bc to see how my body would react and see if my problems (nausea, bad cramping, spotting) would go away and it has, almost completely. now i just have to figure out what i wanna go one. how long has your implanon been out?

Actually RachnBrent, I still haven't gotten it out. The day I was scheduled to have it taken out it snowed and the health department closed down. Grrr. I'm now overdue to have it taken out, but I wanted to wait until my boyfriend has his vasectomy. We are still engaging in the act unprotected, though we aren't TTC... and now I'm really stressed because I've heard a whole bunch of different stories about what leaving implenon in can do. I've heard you can get an ectopic pregnancy, that it can totally mess up your fertility, and that you can get out and out pregnant. I don't know what to believe because these are all changing stories from the doctors! I don't want to get pregnant right now because I have too much going on in my life to worry about that. But, at the same time, I wouldn't be heartbroken if I did. Does that make sense? I believe that every child is a gift whether or not you personally feel that it's a good idea. So, I'm just torn about what I should do at this point.

I don't usually post on this board, but I am having nausea almost daily now...and wondering if it is from Implanon? I have had it in since Aug. 2010 but the nausea was there at the beginning, went away for months and now is back again. Do you think it is from Implanon?
