Has anyone taken one of these? My OB recommended BeYaz because it has a different kind of progesterone that all other BC pills and she thinks that I may react better to it. Anyone have any experience with it?

It contains a slightly different form of hormone, but carries the same health risks as other combined oral contraceptives. Risks include blood clots, stroke, heart attack. Combined OC's are also ranked by the World Health Organization as Class 1 carcinogens, same as tobacco and asbestos.

The only way to know how your body will respond to the synthetic hormones is to try it and see. Everyone metabolizes the drugs differently.

I had no idea! I wish there was easier/safer birth control

It seems like it would be tons easier to just make a man stop producing sperm you know?

Modern types of NFP are just as effective as combination OC's, but without any of the risks. Wouldn't say it's easier per se, it does take some effort to learn it at first. But the freedom from risks makes that initial effort worthwhile for a lot of women.

I've done it before and I don't want to mess with it now that I have two kids. I actually DTD 6 days before ovulation and still got pg with DD1! With cycles being 28 days, AF being 5 and not being able to DTD before O that leaves us with only about 10-12 days of DTD without condoms a month and 16 to 18 where we do have to use a condom.

Yup! As long as there's CM present, sperm can live a long time if your body. But I gotcha, hopefully you can find something you're comfortable with!

I was on Yaz and I loved it! I've had issues with several different pills and Yaz is the one I loved the best. No emotional issues, no headaches, shorter period, no zits! lol If I go back on the pill that's the one I'll start taking again.

I was on Yaz and I did like it becasue it didn't make me gain weight like the Depo shot did! I gained like 40 lbs on the Depo. I also didn't have a period which I liked but I did get pregnant because I missed a few days due to being sick and not being able to keep anything down. =/ I really liked it and I hope you have as positive a reaction to it as I did, without the pregnant part haha

I took Yaz for 2 cycles and did not react well to it. I had headaces, vomiting, breast swelling, and all of my skin downstairs peeled off. Not fun.

PMDD is a fake indication, created by the pharmaceutical companies to loophole into advertising for PMS. Yaz and Yasmin are dangerous.

I went to pill injury lawyer and did some research. no good.
