Expulsion is fairly common actually. Hopefully your doctor mentioned that possibility with you at the time of insertion. This probably explains the issues you were having, it was probably working it's way out of your uterus.
Scary! I've read that if it's going to happen, it usually happens in the first month or 2. And that many women who get it reinserted don't have any problems with it after that.
I've been considering an IUD, but I'm too nervous!
now i have to come up with a majic plan b that there really isnt one ...
I cant take any form of pills because of high bp and medication I am on.
and no way do i want depo i have heard way way too many bad things about it and I know its not for me and I dont think i want to try another IUD....its just very frustrating.

3 different types of Natural Family Planning are taught in Alberta. Depending on where you are, there might be classes. Effectiveness is over 96%, depending on which type of NFP it is...but without any risks.
I am thinking about having my Mirena removed. I can't take anything else b/c of migraines. I think I'm going to use NFP until we decide to TTC. Last year my OB/GYN told me my only other option was the coils but I didn't want anything permanent.
