Hello! My name is Elizabeth, I am 27 years old and have to beautiful children: Corban 4, and Aliahna 1! I have been a member of this website for about a year now, I joined up because I wanted to have Vbac with my last child (which was successful!). My hubby says this is our last child so I am now trying to find a good birth control to take. I currently take a pill but I'm sick and tired of tying my life down to reminding myself to take a pill every night lol! So I am seeking advice on different options.

Hi there. If you're really certain you don't want to have any more children, a snip snip (a tubal or a Vas) is the best way to go. It would be non-hormonal so there would be no side effects, and more carefree than any other form of birth control. Plus there is no long term risk of things like cervical cancer.

If you're not sure whether or not you want to have more kids, then an IUD might be good. You don't have to take anything and you can wear it for up to five years. I've also heard good things about the nuevo ring, but I don't know much about this method.

What I wouldn't suggest (people are going to hate me for this) is natural family planning. When you use this method, you open yourself up to the small possibility of getting preggers. Depo is also just awful, at least in my experience. When I took it, it messed with my body for years.

I hope that helps.
