How did it go? I am planning to have mine out soon, just waiting to schedule it. Im curious if you were uncomfortable or crampy afterwards? Did you notice a difference in horomones pretty quickly or did it take a while? How soon did you get back to a normal cycle?

I removed it myself 3.5 weeks ago. Felt like removing a tampon. No pain or discomfort, just the pressure of something coming out. (Much better than the pain and discomfort of having it put in!) The next day the nonstop headache I had for months was gone. I felt great the day after. Day 2 I felt a little crampy and bled for a couple of days. Then I started to feel nauseous, fatigue, hot flashes, and emotional which felt just like being pregnant. I have been getting car sick easy which I generally only do when pregnant. (Two bfns so I know I'm not.) Yesterday all those symptoms really started to clear up and today I am feeling great so far. Libido has been back and things much more enjoyable in that area. Miss the protection, but SOooo happy to be feeling like "me" again!

Hope your appointment goes well! Are you planning to TTC soon?

Thanks. It took me a while to put it together but Ive been getting sick, all those same symptoms, around ovulation and period for about 9 months. I thought maybe migraines, car sickness, took HPTs, finally realized the connection and cant wait to feel like myself again! I want to know the emotions and feeling I have are my own, not super horomone induced craziness!

We are WTTC for some time next year, no defined plan yet but I am kinda anxious...

I loved!! that IUD... I would still have it in, but we're working on having another baby. THe doctor took it out for me and it was super easy having it removed (the 'that's it? kinda feeling).

My body went back to normal almost immediately and my 28 day cycle returned. Great experience for me... good luck!
