Hi All,
Just curious is using birth control pills safe for health? As I heard birth control pills might cause blood clots, stroke or heart attack and can effect your kidney or liver. Birth control pills also increase the risk of breast cancer and can increase your cholesterol level. Any thoughts!

They are effective for preventing and stopping pregnancy, but I would not consider them "safe". To me, "safe" means without risk. Birth control pills come with many serious risks. Since there are other ways to avoid pregnancy which are just as effective without any of the health risks, the risks are also unnecessary.

When will the medical establishment acknowledge the health risks associated with chemical contraceptives?

In 2005, the World Health Organization added birth control pills to their list of highly carcinogenic agents. They got Class 1 - which is the same level as tobacco.

They do also carry an increased risk for blood clots (which can cause heart attack and stroke).
