I had my Mirena removed 15 Jan this year, I am 37 and have been on various contraception for 22 years. The first 5 days after removal were a heavy bleed and then I have had a "period" (one day, then one day, then 7 days, then one day and this month 4 days) since. I have been back to see the doc and she said it would take 5 months for my bdy to get back to normal-I have had positive ovulation results getting stronger each month. I think my uterus lining just needed to get thicker, this month is the first month of a normal proper period so I am hoping that from this month on we are in with a chance of getting pregnant. Will keep you updated but it does seem that the Mirena affects people in many different ways and the doctors give a lot of false hope with the "you can get pregnant straight away" comment when they remove it.
Ok new here, little info :
First day of my last cycle was November 17 lasted til 21st. Had my mirena removed on the 25th, how soon do you think I would be able to conceive? dtd on the 30th and today. Is it possible i could have conceived already? Had some period like symptoms since the removal. Had the mucus like discharge today.
Anyone else have this happen?
Mirena causes all kinds of side effects, hormonal imbalances, estrogen dominance, silicona and copper toxicity, etc. I recommend everyone whois serious about stopping all their unbearable side effects to watch the videoon this page: mirenadetox . com/mirena-weight-gain/
