For you ladies who have had mirena, does your husband say he can feel anything while you are DTD? I'm seriously considering getting it since my husband and I aren't on the same page about having more children and I haven't had good luck with pills recently..

I've it for 1.5 years and no, my husband can't feel a thing (he did feel the Nuvaring though). MY OBGYN cut the strings on mine super short, which she said was so that DH couldn't feel it. But they're so short that I can't feel them at all -- can't check to see if it's still in place!

My husband has felt my string once or twice, but he said that it felt like it was tightly coiled up which it shouldn't be. If done right, your husband shouldn't really feel anything.

My Dr. cut mine short too, and my husband could only feel it in certain positions, but he said it didn't hurt or anything, just startled him the first few times because it's not something you're used to. He said it felt like fishing line string. lol.

DH had felt them in the beginning and when I went in for my check up a few weeks later (to make sure it was still in the correct place) my DR just cut the strings shorter. DH said it felt like he was getting poked. LOL.

dont get mirena PLEASE! Some have good experiances with it but please read my post about my time with it.
Do your research on it. They have active lawsuits on them for damage it has caused. So please do your home work. My gyno LIED to my face saying it does not cause cysts, it does. 1% get it and it might sound like a low number but i think the number is higher than that.
It thins the uterus lining, it can stop you from ovulating causing the cysts an it will affect your hormones. A rare event it can cause infertility something they do not tell you.

They are coming out with new side effects left and right I never seen the infertility until AFTER i had it for a year. I had it 3 years. been out over a year and i been having chemicals. FX that my body has healed and i can get a BFP soon

I liked my mirena, and yes it can cause cysts. DH said he felt it occasionally but didn't mind. It does feel just like fishing line.

I was going to get it after my daughter and my DH said no way because a ton of his friends at the fire station complain about it poking them!
