Hi! I havent posted here before, but I have a quick question..
I have been on the depo shot since I had my daughter (aug 2011). 2 weeks ago I got pneuomina and was taking antibiotics. I was on 500 mg zpack for 7 days. My DH and I had unprotected sex 3 times since being/taking the antibiotic. Is there a big chance that I could be pregnant? I know I have to wait a few more weeks before testing, I was just seeing if anyone else knows anything about this or has been through it themselves. Thanks!!
The chance is very low. Depo is an extremely aggressive drug and hits the reproductive system hard. For many women, it takes many months or even years before their fertility recovers after stopping the shot - I doubt the antibiotics would have time to reverse the effects of Depo in order for conception to occur. Sometimes pregnancy does happen for women on Depo, but it's very very rare.
