My Dr had me on a progesterone only mini pill even though I wasn't BF'ding (my choice, it gives me less side effects than normal BC) Well I made a mistake and missed a pill and ended up pregnant. BC didn't fail, I did anyways it ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. Through some research I've found that getting pregnant while on the mini pill can cause ectopic pregnancies. Something that no dr had ever told me and when I brought it up with my dr at my post op appt. he said that its not a big enough risk to really warn women about.
Having been through that ordeal, I disagree.

Thank you, this is really good to know. I was just put on the mini pill as well to reduce hormonal side effects. I've been doing good with taking the pills, but I'm so forgetful sometimes...
