Hello I'm about 6 weeks postpartum now almost 7. I just started taking a pill on Monday may 13th. I'm bottle feeding and breast feeding but i want to start exclusively pump and feed baby only breast milk and i was wondering if its safe while I'm breast feeding. The pill I'm taking is called mononessa. This is off topic but I'm low on my milk supply so the doctor had prescribed me. Metoclopramide(reglan) I've been looking it up and some peoples side effects kinda concerned me and I'm not sure if i should take them. Has anyone taken these or heard anything about them? I'm going to buy fenugreek and try that for now since the concern of some of the things i heard about reglan. Since I've been to my 6 week check up and everything was healed and looking good and and my df decided to try intercourse again and its very uncomfortable and hurts we did use a lubricant and he was gentle but it still hurt. How long does that usually last? I tried kegels but I'm not sure if I'm doing then correctly, it kinda feels like i tighten my stomach when attempting them.
Congratulations on your baby! I just had my 3rd baby in February. I took the mini pill for three days after my 6 week check up. Within three days my milk supply had dramatically dropped and my baby was extremely fussy. I was prescribed reglan. I took two pills, but it made me extremely drowsy--I couldn't function. So I stopped taking all medicine and will use condoms for now. If you are giving formula, are you also pumping to keep up your supply for those missed feedings? The more time at the breast, the better chances of a bigger supply. As for intercourse... I promise it gets better with time! I'm never ready at 6 weeks. It's usually at 8 weeks when I start feeling less sensitive. By around 12 weeks things are almost back to "normal" now.
