Has anyone had their tubes tied?
I am planning to have a c-section on Dec 20th and I want to get my tubes tied at the same time. I am sure I dont want anymore kids. I was just wondering about your experiences or thoughts on it.

I considered it, but after reading about post tubal ligation syndrome, I decided against it. Dh is willing to get a vasectomy when we're done having kids, so we're gonna go that route.

I'm planning one with my 2nd c/s as well. I've never heard anything negative personally. I've heard (via internet, etc.) of people who still got pg anyway, but "anything's possible" - KWIM? I think if you dig up some statistics you'll find that it's safe and reliable for the most part.

see my hubby wont do that. Do to a family history of blood clots I cant have b/c pills or anything that gives out hormones....I am allergic to cooper so I cant have an IUD and I have a small skin allergy to latex so they wont give me diaphragm just incase....ugh I feel like I have no other choice, I know I dont want other kids I just am not sure I want to do it...I know the risks are low but it scares me.

My mom and step mom both have their tubes tied. My mom hasn't ever had a problem but my step mom did get pregnant like 10 years after she had it done. Of course nothing is 100% effective.

We are pretty sure that we are finished but I don't think that I can ever go through with getting my tubes tied.

I had a tubal after my c-section with the twins. The only issue I had aferwards were my cycles being messed up. I was regular before, like clockwork (without BC) and I went to irregular cycles. some 36+ days others less then 28. My periods were also REALLY heavy for the first 6 months. I seriously thought I was bleeding to death lol.

They kind of regulated some and got lighter. Now they are shorter and I spot most of the time. It's strange.
