I have the copper one but the strings are still there with both IUD's. DH can't feel mine when were intimate. Make sure that the dr keeps the strings kinda long so that they don't poke "him". We've not had that problem and I've had it for about 5 months now.
hey, I've had mine for 3 months now. I haven't had any problems personally.. only.. DH said that he could feel the strings poking him and it hurt.. and I told the doctor and he was like "really? I've never had anyone want me to cut them for that reason before!" lol. But yeah, he cut the strings a lot shorter, and now DH can't feel them at all.
My bf can feel them every so often but says it doesn't hurt. As for me. They poke me alot. It is very annoying and hurts occassionally. I have cramping with it. I have had it for 2 months and have not stopped bleeding, only spotting though.

I had one for over 3 years. Hubby could feel the strings and we had them cut, then the strings poked him, so we had them snipped so they can't be felt at all... It took about 4 months for my period to go away completely. After that I only had occational spotting.
I've had mine for almost 4 months and I have a huge appitite. They have a little hormorne in them. I wonder if that's why I am hungry or if it's because I'm fully breastfeeding still. But I can't even tell its there and neither can dh. I haven't had a period either but that could be because I am breastfeeding too.
i had a paraguard for just over 3yrs......and it was great for the first 2yrs....i dont know if it just developed a reaction to it or what.....but over the last year i started getting head aches and sick to my stomach when i would O....then for about 6 months before i had it removed i would get a burning pinching feeling in my hips when i would O.....my doc tried to tell me that it wasnt the iud and that taking it out probley wouldnt help....but i had it taken out in june and now i dont have any problems.....would i get one again.....yes i would because aside from the last year.......well even with the last year it wasnt anything i couldnt handle......so yeah id get one agian.....but not the hormone one.....would have to be copper for me.
