I've had 2 AF's since Christian was born. I got it back when he was about 5 1/2 months old because I was nursing. Well, I stopped nursing on the 5th of this month. I was due for AF on the 18th and it's not here yet. I have an IUD, so I'm pretty sure that I'm not prego. Any other reason why AF would't show??

Thanks,
Angie

It's totally normal to skip periods if you have the Mirena - but I can't remember if that's the one you've got? You may want to test just in case, like everything else - the IUD is not 100%.

Having just recently finished breastfeeding can cause irregularity too - for up to 6 months after weaning.

I have the paragard IUD. I thought that maybe it was related to not nursing anymore. I'm afraid to test...LOL

Ordinarily, I would chuckle about being afraid to test - but you already know the risks of ectopic pregnancy with the IUD. NOT something you want to mess around with, you'd want to know as soon as possible! Hopefully that's not it and you can just blame only having recently stopped breastfeeding.
