Ok, I have been on the depo shot. I have only taken one shot, which was in July. It's time for my next shot, but I am not going to get it since I have read all the horrible things about it on here. I am going to get my bc changed to something esle. What would you all recommend? I have been on the pill for years, and I didn't have any problems with it. But I changed to the patch because it was a once a week thing. After I had my baby, I didn't go back to my OB/GYN because of insurance, I just came to the health unit, and they don't give the patch because they are so expensive, so that's why I chose the shot. I am thinking about just getting back on the pill. What do you think? What would you do?

Depends on what you want out of your birth control. Are you going to be TTC soon?? Then the pill would be a good option for you. If your not going to be TTC or it will be a while than I recommend an IUD. Thats what I have now and I love it!!

I'd vote NFP. No hormones, no devices, cheap, and 99% effective. We LOVE it!

NFP is great if you have time and are super organized. Otherwise, I would say if you had good experiences with the pill, go back to it.

Thanks for the replies. The nurse practitoner will be here on Wednesday (at the health unit, where I work) and I am going to get her to switch me to the pill. I think the pill will be the best option for me right now. We don't plan on ttc until at least next summer, maybe later.
