Just checking in. Still getting adjusted to Wyatt being here.
He was born at 4:28am Saturday August 29th. Weighed 7lbs, 15 oz and was 20-1/4 inches long.
Basically Friday around 1pm we went to the grocery store. I started feeling really lousy while there, like he was sitting on my sciatic nerve. Went home, laid down for a while and it got INTENSE. Called the OB office, they told me to go in. I was worried about another false alarm but Rob told me not to beat myself up over it if it was. Got hooked up, was having regular, STRONG contractions every 2 minutes. My OB was already in the hospital so he came in and told me to forget Tuesday, I was having a baby THAT night or in the AM. Got me to my room at about 4pm. He came in, broke my water and my epi was given soon after. Labor was ok until about midnight when my epi kept wearing off and they had to re-dose me FOUR times! Pushed for an hour and was ready to give up and beg for a c-section but my OB would not let me give up. He knew the vbac was important to me. He told me later he had no thought I was going to rupture or anything and *IF* we decided to have more kids, he would let me go vbac again. No tearing or stitches or anything.
Thank you KimberlyD0 for my absolutely beautiful siggy!
