I love my job because it's never the same and keeps challenging me, and I feel like I was meant to do what I'm doing. I can't imagine any other job maintaining my interest!
The part I like least is probably the hours...just would be nice sometimes to have a normal Monday through Friday dayshift job. But...that's alright, comes with the territory.
I am most nervous because I just had a baby, and I don't want to go back to work anytime soon (I have 8 weeks left of family leave)! I am a little nervous about being able to concentrate on work as much as I used to because I am definitely preoccupied with my new bundle of joy! Hopefully I will be able to get to the point where I feel I can give the right amount of energy to both.
Mine was helping others too. The feeling the day that I was able to get a heartbeat back on a 12 week old was indescribable. The child is Sean's age today and they are in the same class. He of course doesn't know who I am, or who Sean is, but you better believe I know who he is.
The worst was the danger that comes with the job. I was in a hostage situation one night. Call came in as Chest Pains but was a bad domestic. Was really bad. We were in there for about 45 min. It was a LONG night.
